Keeping It Personal and Local!

Bottom line is that “local” is becoming more and more important.  GVB is as local as it gets and that is the message we all need to keep sending to the community.

In the first quarter of 2010 our core banking operations continued to perform well.  Assets, deposits, loans and net income were all ahead of goal.  During the quarter we had a favorable settlement in a longstanding lawsuit with our landlord and booked a net gain of $195,000.  We   continued to recognize local economic and specific business uncertainty and increased our loan loss reserves by $250,000 to 2.11% of total loans outstanding.
